With everyone's enthusiastic participation, we completed the collection of all types of clothing in just three days. Clothes were collected regardless of age, size, and style. This activity allowed the idle clothing in the wardrobe to be reborn.
In order to meet the needs of the Garden of Hope Foundation Love Material Sharing Center, the colleagues in charge carefully checked the clothes one by one for dirt, damage, pilling and odor before providing the fourteen boxes of clothes collected to the long-term the Garden of Hope Foundation, which focuses on the development of preparatory employment for disadvantaged women and provides services to disadvantaged families, successfully completed a second-hand clothing donation event.
Following the enthusiastic response in 2023 to raise 14 boxes of second-hand clothes to donate to the Lixin Foundation, in 2024, we once again call on colleagues to participate in the "2024 Used Shoes Life-saving Step30/Tainan Personal Delivery Collection" initiated by the International Christian Caring Association, expand the seeds of love, improve the basic living conditions of African countries, and reduce the environmental impact through the donation and transmission of resources, and advocate the environmental awareness of loving things and cherishing things, so in 2024, we will raise 4 large bags of old clothes and 15 pairs of old shoes. It is hoped that second-hand shoes will help Africa's poorest children to avoid the parasitism of sand fleas that feed on human blood, which will affect their health.
